Frank Thornton founded the business in 1973. Then Franks son Tim, after serving six years in the Marine Corp, acquired Thorntons Heating & Air Conditioning in 2008, and operated the business until 2026. In March of 2026 Gen-Con Group, a growing contractor in this region, acquired Thornton’s Heating Air Conditioning. Tim Thornton is still employed by Thorntons and plays an important role in its success. Thornton’s Heating and Air Conditioning was sought after due to its reputation and many years serving the community.
